FAQs
But Jack, I don’t live in New York, let alone Brooklyn… Where should I stay?
We like The Ace, The 1, and The Marriot. All good options!
How do I get there?
You’re in NYC, ride the subway. Love the MTA baby. An Uber might be a bit quicker, but definitely will be more than $3.00.
When does the party start?
6pm
But when does the after party start?
Jesus, I don’t know. Like 11:30? Maybe we’ll do karaoke or something, let us know when you rsvp if you would join us :)
Woah Jack, you guys have been engaged for so long, why haven’t you figured this out yet?
Ok, calm down. We’re busy and it’s fun being engaged.
Well should I bring anything/ is there a registry?
Truly, no gifts. Just come ready to celebrate! That’s more than enough for us.
But since some of you won’t take no for an answer (and our parents insisted), we put together a Zola where you can contribute if you feel inclined.
So I should skip lunch? But I’m only in New York for the weekend!
Don’t starve yourself, you’re so dramatic. Go try some Brooklyn stuff during the day. Eat a bagel from Greenberg’s, grab a sandwich from Brooklyn Hero Shop and birdwatch in Fort Greene Park.
We made a Google Map Guide with over 100 Emma & Jack approved spots to help guide you.
Alright, what in the world is martini attire?
Seriously calm down, we’re having fun with this whole thing. Think cocktail attire but with some style. Wear that weird sport coat you found, but never wear. Skip the tie, wear a T shirt and suit, have fun with it.
Emma says: think elevated-but-not-stuffy. Heels or fancy flats, jeans discouraged (unless they’re magical).
What else should we do before the party?
If you really wanna channel us, go get a foot massage and eat some frozen yogurt from Culture! Go birdwatching! Drink a beer! Go get yourself a torta and hit up our favorite retro bowling alley in Sunset Park!
Ok, what’s your bagel order?
I like a sesame bagel with lox cream cheese & onions. Emma’s a crazy person and likes a cinnamon raisin bagel (scooped and dark toasted) with butter, thin white onion, & capers.
Wait is there like a ceremony?
This is just a big party, we’re getting legally married at City Hall the Friday before! Come eat, drink, and dance with us.
Will there be vegetarian options?
Oh yeah! Good spread, lots of veggie and gluten free options. Big feast energy.
Hi, It’s Emma. What he said, we love you.
